Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Jurnal Informatika is published biannually, in May and November, by Petra Christian University. Jurnal Informatika aims to:

  1. Promote a comprehensive approach to informatics engineering and management incorporating viewpoints of different applications (computer graphics, computer networks, computer vision, operating systems, Internet/Intranet developments, computational intelligent, databases, IT project management, etc.).
  2. Strengthen academic exchange with other institutions in the area of informatics engineering and management.
  3. Encourage scientist, practicing engineers, and others to conduct research and other similar activities
Jurnal Informatika welcomes papers with the above aims and scopes. The editorial board decides papers to be published in Jurnal Informatika after review by reviewers appointed by the board. Authors will be advised of reviewers' comments and suggestions. Papers previously presented in a conference not specifically associated with Petra Christian University Publication will be considered. In such cases, a copyright release may be necessary. Papers of a tutorial or historical nature will not be excluded from consideration.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are reviewed by single-blind reviewers consisting of an editor and members of the Editorial Board or qualified outside/external reviewers. This is done within the shortest given time. The journal,  above all, strives to return  reviewers’  comments  to authors  within  3 weeks. The Editorial Board re-review  manuscripts  that are accepted until they are revised.


Publication Frequency

Jurnal Informatika covering the broad topics related to Informatics Engineering Science and Applications. Jurnal Informatika is published biannually, in May and November.


Open Access Policy

Jurnal Informatika (ISSN 1411-0105 and 2528-5823) is an Open Access journal, which is free to access and read on the Internet. Jurnal Informatika using National Library of Indonesia as digital archiving policy.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...


Publication Charges

Jurnal Informatika does NOT apply any Article Processing Charges (APC) as Article Submission Charges.
